A FLY ON THE WALL have teamed up with The Cat and The Rose to bring you the second edition of ‘From Up North’ celebrating the work of artists prominently from the North of England and outside of London.
After the success of our first showcase, last November, one show has been produced for a two week run and another had a full length rehearsed reading. This time round we’ve cast the net further, we’ve got longlisted plays, award winning writers and shows in process of being professionally staged. With a huge range of talent from the North West, Yorkshire, the North East, the Midlands and even as far as Ireland, this is not one to be missed.
We are passionate about creating a space for Northerners and underrepresented voices in an industry that often feels like it leaves you out in the cold.
Come down, show your support and say hello or alright la, ey up duck, what’s new pal or now then pet. We’re on our way to building a community and you’re all welcome. We have live music so please stick around afterward, have a pint, have a chat to everyone involved whilst being serenaded with some beautiful music from an up and coming artist, Niamh Keller.
